WCK was founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés is a nonprofit organization that is first to the frontlines providing fresh meals in response to crises. Since created, WCK has provided more than 200 million meals around the world to people impacted by natural disasters, humanitarian disasters, and other crises.
When disaster strikes, WCK’s Relief Team mobilizes with the urgency of now to start cooking and serving meals to people in need. This holiday season, Thankmas created by JackSepticEye is BACK! With the community coming together over the past 2 years Thankmas has raised over $12.4 Million for important causes. This year Thankmas is raising funds for World Central Kitchen (WCK) a nonprofit organization that is first to the frontlines providing fresh meals in response to crises.
We partnered with WCK this year to assist in all their current work around the world. In just the past couple of months, WCK has provided millions of meals in response to crises around the globe including Hurricane Ian in Florida and Fiona across the Caribbean, the war in Ukraine, and the flooding in Kentucky, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. A nourishing meal in a time of crisis is so much more than a plate of food—it’s hope, it’s dignity, it’s a sign that someone cares about you and that you are not alone.
This year we hope to assist WCK in providing funds for millions of meals to help feed these and future communities who need it.
